Wallowa County, OR. Coordinated and performed collection of dry weight
rank, rangeland health, and site assessments on the preserve. Synergy
ground-truthed soil survey and ecological site information and provided
preliminary management recommendations. Synergy is currently developing a grazing and monitoring plan for the Preserve.

rehabilitation assessment
Malheur
County, OR. Designed monitoring protocol and conducted fieldwork to
quantify success of reseeding burn areas as well as effects of reseeding
on sensitive species (Astragalus mulfordiae). Conducted monitoring on
4 fires that burned 112,000 acres.

Falcon to Gonder 345 kv transmission line
Lander,
Eureka, and White Pine Counties, NV. Coordinated and conducted field
work to identify, map, and quantify vegetation cover types, threatened
and sensitive plant populations, weeds, wetlands, and “Waters-of-the-U.S.”
for approximately 500 miles of proposed access and transmission-line
corridors for Sierra Pacific Power Company.

quality monitoring, and photo point establishment.

Grazing plan development and biological survey
Churchill
and Lander Counties, NV. Developed grazing plan in cooperation with
the Bureau of Land Management for inclusion in the Desatoya Mountains
Ecosystem Management Plan. Conducted ecological status inventory, proper
functioning condition riparian assessments, rangeland health upland
assessments, frequency trend sampling, riparian green line monitoring,
and photo point establishment. Developed and conducted upland and riparian
monitoring for the ranch’s BLM allotments.
